Regulatory Interface Officer

Hinkley Point C (HPC) is one of Europe’s most significant infrastructure projects, and we’re looking for a Regulatory Interface Officer to play a crucial role in managing relationships with key regulators.
Your expertise will ensure smooth collaboration between the site teams and regulators, helping demonstrate compliance and capability throughout this complex and high-profile project.
The Opportunity
As the Regulatory Interface Officer, you will be the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, including the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) and the Environment Agency (EA), on-site at HPC.
Reporting to the Site Nuclear Compliance Manager, you’ll ensure effective planning, communication, and execution of all regulatory engagements, from inspections to routine meetings.
Your role will directly contribute to maintaining compliance with industry standards and enabling successful site operations.

What you’ll be doing
- You’ll manage all aspects of regulator interactions on-site, including organising meetings, inspections, and site visits. This involves forward planning, preparing agendas, ensuring the right internal and contractor representation, and facilitating real-time compliance monitoring during visits.
- You’ll track and drive the resolution of regulatory actions, ensuring timely delivery of commitments and clear communication between all stakeholders.
- Additionally, you’ll produce accurate reporting on site activities, maintain effective document management, and provide advice and support for all site-based regulatory interactions.
Who you are
- You’re a proactive and organised professional, preferably with a degree in Science or Engineering (or equivalent experience) and experience working in a technical or engineering environment.
- You bring experience working with multiple stakeholders, and ideally, have supported large construction projects or worked within the nuclear sector.
- You’re confident in engaging with regulatory bodies, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and are results-oriented with a keen eye for detail.
