Job Description
United is looking for a Regulatory Intelligence intern for Summer 2025 to assist its Decision Maker Education and Engagement and InsightEngineTM Intelligence teams, which includes helping to update our InsightEngineTM online policy tool and assisting with research and writing. The Regulatory Intelligence intern will have the opportunity to build a knowledge base and develop an area of expertise in energy regulation as well as develop the ability to relay complex energy policy topics through written and verbal communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain database of regulatory and legislative policy proceedings
- Assist members of our Decision Maker Engagement and Education team with research and written reports
- Update advanced energy profiles of new and existing Public Utilities Commissioners in priority states
- Craft analysis and summaries of regulatory proceedings and legislation in InsightEngineTM
- Other duties as assigned
The intern must be located in the DC, MD, VA area for the summer, a commutable distance to our DC office. A final project will be due from each intern and presented to the organization.
Required Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Preferred Skills: Detail-oriented; intellectually curious; time management skills; interest in advanced energy and/or public policy career

Location: DC (Hybrid)
Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Compensation: $18.00/hr
