Job Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The Clinic RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members in an outpatient clinic setting. Clinic RNs are pivotal members of the care delivery team headed by the physician and have specialized knowledge, skills and ability pertinent to ambulatory care patient needs. Scope of performance includes prioritization and triage of care delivery, implementing established standing orders and protocols, performing procedures and therapies consistent with training and licensure.Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) at the Lowry Gyn/Onc Clinic is a dedicated caregiver responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. This RN utilizes the nursing process alongside technology, therapeutic interventions, evidence-based practices, and effective coordination with the healthcare team in an outpatient clinic setting.About the RN Role:As a Registered Nurse in our clinics, you will be responsible for triaging calls, managing MyChart messages, pre and post op education, assisting in office procedures. Your role will include providing patient education on medication management and treatment plans. This position requires a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care. This position will support Gynecologic Oncology providers and work in concert with the RN in the Urogynecology Department.Posting Specifics:- Benefits Eligible: Yes
- Shift Details: Fulltime – 40 hours per week
- Location details: This is a Hybrid position. The Triage RN is in the clinic 2 to 3 days per week and may work remotely on the other days, 8 - 5 M-F. Working Friday in the office is required. The primary location is the Central Park OBGYN clinic with occasional travel to the Midtown Urogynecology office. Candidate must live in the local Front Range area with close proximity to the clinic and/or an Intermountain Health facility for meetings, orientation days, or technical/wifi issues while working remotely.

- Prioritize patient education by providing comprehensive training on medication management, and medication reconciliation.
- Triage calls, MyChart messages, pre op and post op education and care.
- Perform lab result outreach and monitor medication safety.
- Serve as a clinical resource for medical assistants and other staff.

- Current RN License in the state of Colorado or compact license with the ability to obtain Colorado RN license.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program, with the ability to obtain a BSN within four years unless possessing 15 years of continuous RN experience.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- One year of experience in a clinic setting or inpatient acute hospital setting with experience in Oncology (gynecologic oncology is a plus)
Physical Requirements:
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and -Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).- and -May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.Location:
