About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Licensed Dietitian to join our virtual Intensive Outpatient Program with the ability to practice in Idaho, with a focus on supporting individuals in our new eating disorder-specific track. As part of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in helping clients develop a healthier relationship with food and improve their overall well-being. This role involves delivering evidence-based nutritional counseling, collaborating with clinicians and therapists, and providing support tailored to each client’s unique mental health and nutritional needs.

Candidates must meet state-specific licensure requirements:

  • Idaho: Requires a Licensed Dietitian (LD) credential from the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses, which includes a bachelor’s or graduate degree from an accredited institution, completion of an ACEND-accredited supervised practice program, and passing the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) exam. Applicants must also show proof of current CDR registration. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual nutritional assessments and personalized meal plans as part of a holistic approach to care for clients struggling with eating disorders and related mental health challenges.
  • Conduct individual and group nutritional counseling sessions, helping clients navigate challenges related to disordered eating, body image, and nutrition education.
  • Collaborate with therapists, medical providers, and other members of the treatment team to create comprehensive treatment plans that align with clients’ mental health goals.
  • Offer psychoeducation on topics such as balanced eating, nutritional needs, and mindful eating strategies.
  • Monitor and document clients’ progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss cases, progress, and overall program development.
  • Educate clients’ families on how to provide nutritional support and encouragement in the home setting.
  • Assist with program development and improvement as it pertains to nutritional services and eating disorder interventions.
  • Stay updated on evidence-based approaches to nutrition and eating disorder treatment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with young adults or adolescents, preferably in eating disorder treatment or mental health settings.
  • Strong knowledge of eating disorder treatment, including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).
  • Experience providing virtual care and/or telehealth services preferred.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices such as Health at Every Size (HAES), Intuitive Eating, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for eating disorders (CBT-E) is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Proficiency with cloud-based tools such as Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, and EMR software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the team and patients.
  • Work authorized in the United States and native or bilingual English proficiency
  • Familiarity with and willingness to use cloud-based communication software—Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox, Salesforce–in addition to EMR and survey software on a daily basis. 
  • This position is not available for candidates with residency in CA, NY and CO at this time.

Benefits

The total target base compensation for this role will be between $28.00 and $34.00 per hour at the commencement of employment.  Please note, pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location, experience, expertise, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. Further, cash compensation is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may include stock options and other Charlie Health-sponsored benefits. #LI-Remote
