UFP Site Built is the leader in designing and manufacturing value-added wood and non-wood products for the construction industry. We offer a wide variety of wood structural components, aluminum decks and rails, and light gauge steel structural components.

UFP Site Built is currently seeking a Regional Vice President for our Western Region that would be responsible for planning and directing all aspects of the region’s sales, production, distribution, and other activities with the purpose of increasing margins and sales.  Is responsible for the growth and success of the region; and ensures the operations comply with Company policies, internal controls, and with all applicable laws.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains and enhances region’s sales policies, directions, and guidelines to standardize high-quality sales processes

  • Provides DOs and RSMs assistance as required, with knowledge and ongoing advice on how to maximize market potential.

  • Oversees manufacturing capacity and sales within the region, and assists plants to prepare for changes in market needs and conditions.

  • Set standards of performance and specific actions that drive sales and profits consistent with the Company’s policy and goals.

  • Coordinates sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes.

  • Coordinates planning activities with other functions and stakeholders within the company.

  • Identifies opportunities for growth within the region and works closely with DOs to implement processes to attain growth goals and budgets.

  • Ensures that all assets within the region are properly managed and safeguarded.

  • Works with plants within the region to develop operating budgets and capital expenditure recommendations.

  • Evaluates plants’ performance to budget. Plans and initiates corrective action as required.

  • Sets and maintains production and sales objectives, goals, and operating short and long-term plans with the region.

  • Ensures that plants within the region operate within established inventory parameters.

  • Assists plant management to optimize operations - cuts and yields, to maximize the “mfg. for margin” opportunities.

  • Interacts with customers to expand the business and develop positive relationships. Support plants’ sales efforts.

  • Develops and/or approves specific operating policies and procedures as required.

  • Ensures the operations within the region comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations and all Company policies and procedures.

  • Ensures that plant operations are consistent with Company and OSHA policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Prepares various reports and performs other duties as required.

  • Follows BU strategies and works with other regions to grow sales and to maximize BU efficiencies across regions.  

  • Understands and promotes new technologies in both the production and sales space. 

Qualifications

  • A minimum Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience is required.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales or operations management

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as General Manager of Operations; experience with multiple plant responsibilities is preferred.

  • Working knowledge in a variety of sales and manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Preferred experience and knowledge of UFP’s organization, culture, and product lines.


Salary Pay Range:  $150,000 - $185,000 annually dependent on experience*
                *pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living  

 

Bonus/Incentive Pay
Annual performance bonus opportunity based on Company and specific business unit ROI and PBOP achievement criteria and individual job responsibility and performance.
