The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Regional Sales Representative, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Leads sales effort across all 3M brands/products into assigned accounts
  • Implements programs, plans and policies as agreed upon with manager
  • Determines priorities, frequencies and call patterns to be most effective and productive
  • Supports Austin, Regional programs and initiatives
  • Willingness to work irregular schedule as necessary

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Two (2) years direct sales OR electric utility industry experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Current, valid driver’s license

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • MBA is preferred
  • Sales experience in the Electric Utility Market
  • Aptitude to understand and train customers on multiple product lines and applications
  • Field/Channel sales experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to all levels
  • Ability to qualify and prioritize sales opportunities within assigned territory
  • Experience working in a matrix environment or large complex organization

Work location:

  • Work Your Way Eligible (remote)

Sales Territory: Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky and western Pennsylvania

Travel: May include up to 50% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
