THE JOB: Regional Primary Care Transformation Partner, Island

The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.

Starting Salary Range: $‎80,067.00 to $‎100,083.50

This role reports to the Manager Partnerships & Divisions Supports and provides support and expertise to resolve complex challenges and issues within the partnerships and processes for primary care transformation. The Regional Primary Care Transformation Partner supports connection, dialogue and decision-making for the FPSC by guiding the implementation of key regional and provincial initiatives.
 

The Regional Primary Care Transformation Partner is a trusted advisor who works with physician leaders, Divisions of Family Practice Executive Directors, Ministry of Health primary care teams, and Health Authority senior leaders to facilitate and align activities, guide vision and strategy, resolve issues and eliminate barriers to advance primary care transformation. This role includes targeted regional and provincial engagement to strengthen relationships, facilitate conflict resolution for primary care network partners, and contribute to regional and provincial committees and working groups related to advancing primary care initiatives.
 

This position works as a regional dyad in close partnership with the Community Primary Care Transformation Partner, supporting a geographic region in the work of primary care transformation. As a dyad, the Primary Care Transformation Partners, build and support local, regional and provincial capacity and work within the P&C team to implement strategic directions, operationalize the FPSC work plan, provide leadership, knowledge sharing and support on the team and with partners.

  • Partners with leaders to identify opportunities for significant process enhancements and recommends changes that impact the strategic direction.

  • Ability to set expectations for monitoring and feedback systems and reviews performance trends.
  • Ability to evaluate progress and involve peer and team members in analyzing strengths and weaknesses in performance.
  • Looks to improve efficiency by spearheading pilots and planned functional change initiatives.

WHAT YOU BRING 

  • An undergraduate university degree in a recognized and related field, and up to four years of progressive and relevant experience; an equivalent level of related work experience in-lieu of post-secondary education will be considered.
  • A Master’s degree in a health or business-related field is preferred.
  • Proven ability to collaborate significantly with peers organization-wide
  • Previous success working highly autonomously, with nominal direction while practicing discretion and judgment.
  • Ability to conduct highly complex and highly specialized work activities associated with your partner group and provide expert advice and solutions to achieve broader organizational results.
  • Skilled at providing strategic guidance to develop a common agenda, and serving as a thought leader / standard bearer for initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills at the operational and strategic level, as well as the ability to apply logical, and evaluative thinking to define problems, collect information, establish facts and determine optimal courses of action.
  • Strong skills in diplomacy, conflict resolution, presentations, communications, facilitation and relationship building.
  • Must be able to anticipate issues and proactively resolve highly complex and undefined issues with high visibility and moderate to high risk of impact on partnerships.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with PC based software, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Valid drivers’ license and car, along with willingness to travel BC and be flexible accommodating evening meetings, overnight stays and home-based working.
