J.Crew’s West Coast Regional Loss Prevention Manager

As a Regional Loss Prevention Manager, you will play a key role in protecting company assets, reducing shrink, and fostering a culture of safety and awareness. You’ll lead investigations, train associates, and work closely with business partners to implement loss prevention strategies that drive operational success. Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Loss Prevention Manager to lead and implement company-directed shortage and safety programs for Factory Stores in the West Coast Region, consisting of 125+ stores from Texas to California. This role is responsible for developing, training, and overseeing loss prevention strategies while ensuring compliance with operational and security standards. The Regional Loss Prevention Manager will work closely with field teams, business partners, and corporate leadership to minimize risks, prevent losses, and foster a culture of safety and awareness across multiple store locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Loss Prevention Strategy & Execution

  • Implement and execute company-directed shortage reduction and safety programs within the assigned scope of responsibility.
  • Develop and lead Loss Prevention training, awareness programs, and communication strategies.
  • Ensure Loss Prevention measures (CCTV, EAS, etc) are appropriately deployed based on regional needs.
  • Proactively monitor and investigate inventory, cash loss, and breaches of company policies and procedures.
  • Utilize POS exception reporting tools to identify and prevent internal and external theft.
  • Conduct investigations and interviews related to losses and policy violations, ensuring timely resolution.

Training & Development

  • Organize and facilitate Loss Prevention training for store leadership and associates.
  • Work closely with management teams to communicate and reinforce operational standards.

Operational Compliance & Risk Management

  • Communicate and execute company initiatives for target store shortage reduction programs.
  • Assist in the creation of action plans to ensure operational compliance with safety and security policies.
  • Offer guidance and solutions during crisis situations, including workplace violence, protests, and demonstrations.
  • Ensure all safety policies are communicated effectively using available communication channels.
  • Manage and oversee monthly travel and expense budgets for Loss Prevention activities.
  • Address and resolve Hotline calls in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in Loss Prevention, Asset Protection, or Security Management in a multi-unit retail environment.
  • Strong knowledge of investigations, interviewing techniques, and theft prevention strategies (Wicklander-Zulawski certification is a plus).
  • Ability to develop and conduct effective training programs for associates and leadership teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience utilizing POS exception reporting tools and other theft prevention technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to handle crisis situations professionally.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel as required to oversee Loss Prevention operations within assigned regions.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3-5 years of Loss Prevention or Asset Protection experience with multi-store responsibility.
  • Experience working in a retail, corporate, or distribution center environment is a plus.

Salary Range: $80,800.00 - $97,000.00
