Job Summary:

The Regional HR Manager will seek to develop integrated solution, formulate partnerships, build relationships, new innovations, and effective problem-solving skills. Will work to achieve strategic, tactical, and administrative HR objectives, aligned with CHE business objectives.
The Regional HR will be self-directed, flexible, resilient, highly motivated, & possesses high-personal ethical standards. An advocate for fair and consistent administration of company policies, procedures, and programs, and build credible relations with leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Objectively provide guidance to management and assist with on-site investigations as the HR subject matter expert. Provide counsel on appropriate level of accountably. Trust but verify documentation is being administer in a timely manner.
  • Formulate partnerships across the HR function to improve collaboration, productivity, deliver trusteed counsel, and a provide a safe space for management and associates. 
  • Demonstrated ability to handle difficult or volatile situations/individuals effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to demonstrate organizational, problem solving, and active listening, along with critical thinking skills.
  • Active participant in manager meetings to increase HR visibility, conducts training, and provide guidance on HR related topics, in support of the organizational business objectives.
  • Generate solutions and implements with input from Field HR Consultant(s) and/or HRSC.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate department.
  • Champion Diversity & Inclusion activities to include, but not limited to, recruiting, retention, and professional development.
  • Works closely with multiple district teams to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Promote learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities in partnership with Talent Development team.
  • Other duties / projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of human resource experience, in a multi-state, multi-unit environment
  • Experience in labor relations in a unionized environment is heavily preferred.
  • HR professional certification is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Must be self-directed, flexible, resilient, and highly motivated. 
  • Ability to prioritize, organize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and have initiative, with a proactive work ethic.
  • Act with integrity, display professionalism, and ensure confidentiality.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization to include management and associates, both written and verbally.
  • Content-knowledge regarding employment law, policies, procedures, and programs
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Willingness to travel 25% - 30%.

Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease).
