Regional Account Manager
United States - Remote
- Handle important matters and conflicts with agencies’ executive management and contractors.
- Review and research clients’ programs to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Have knowledge of National, State, Local and client laws, regulations, opinions, and guidelines pertaining to JOC and its procurement.
- Manage quarterly reviews and audits with each client.
- Prepare account budgets based on scope of work and resource requirements for each client in their region.
- Track individual program costs to meet plan.
- Develop and manage detailed program schedule and plan.
- Provide program updates on a consistent basis to management about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
- Work closely with the National Account Manager to ensure Simplebid® has a single voice and guidelines.
- Work closely with the Program Design & Contracts Manager to ensure new startups have proper support, and that the Account Manager will have a clear handbook for the account.
- Directly manage and provide overall training, coaching, and development to all levels of Account Managers and staff in assigned region.
- Responsible to make sales and provide marketing support in pursuit of new business.
- Liaison between account managers and support services like Human Resources, software, and unit price book teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required skills and experience:
- Minimum 10+ years of Job Order Contracting (JOC) experience required
- Minimum 3 years experience of experience in a leadership role required.
- Must have well-rounded construction experience with a variety of types of construction (JOC CMAR, DBB, etc.), with ability to see the program and projects from the owner's, contractor's, and firm's points of view.
- Previous experience as a Regional Manager a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Professional credential (CJP, PMP, etc.) preferred.
- Proven record with client-facing project management or owners' rep experience.
- Must have strong client facing skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, and written, and verbal communication.
- Self-motivated and able to work well independently in a strict deadline-oriented environment.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly adapt to additional software.
