Are you looking for a role where you can become an integral part of our recruitment service? This is a great opportunity to work within our People Services team, supporting the recruitment process from start to finish.
As the first point of contact for both internal and external applicants, you'll play a crucial role in delivering an efficient and candidate-friendly experience.
This is an exciting time to join our Recruitment Services as we have some fantastic innovative projects beginning to take place with the support of our new ATS, Oleeo.
Main duties, tasks & skills required
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Recruitment Service
- Act as the first point of contact for candidates and managers
- Manage emails, phone calls, and enquiries, accurately recording messages
- Be responsible for hiring new starters, ensuring they are set up and paid on time
- Support interviews and verify ID checks (on-site two days per week)
- Maintain recruitment records using Oleeo and ESR
- Assist with pre-employment checks and follow up on outstanding documentation
- Process DBS checks and issue honorary contracts
- Handle post, visitor enquiries, and stationery orders for the department
- Ensure a timely, accurate, and customer-focused recruitment service
- Communicate professionally and with discretion, maintaining confidentiality at all times.

This hybrid role offers a blend of remote working with essential on-site presence (two days per week) to support ID verification and candidate interactions. The role is based at either Yeovil District Hospital or County Hall, Taunton.

Excellent IT skills, including accuracy and speed in keyboard skills, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel & Outlook

GCSE or equivalent qualification in IT, Maths and English

Accurately produce documents to a professional standard
Proficient with social media

Recent experience of working in a busy office environment
