Recruiter - Skilled Subcontractor

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, industry expert to source skilled Sub-contractors with an established network of subcontractors to join our team.  This position plays a critical role in attracting and hiring Subcontractors. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced recruiter looking to make an immediate impact on our business. 

Work location: Remote, Western Region based

Pay Range: $60,000 - $85,000

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Screen and actively source construction and telecommunication Subcontractors, assessing sub-contractors’ skills and competencies.
• Expand workforce and exceed customers’ expectations
• Deep knowledge and understanding of the construction &/or telecommunications industry 
• Expertise in high-volume, subcontractor recruiting and project staffing initiatives 
• Perform background checks, investigating references, and validate contract and insurance requirements
• Partner with department and field leaders to create scope of work to attract & retain subcontractors
• Expansive industry network to build robust subcontractor resource data base
• Develop and implement social media campaigns aligned with our brand voice and vision
• Monitor social media channels, respond to inquiries, and manage online conversations
• Curate engaging content (posts, videos, graphics) that highlights our projects, innovations, and industry impact 
• Strong communication skills & experience working with leaders, stakeholders, and community organizations
• Build trusted relationships with senior executives and functional leadership.
• Ensure a positive company image by working closely with industry, business, community leaders, and regulatory groups.

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

Proven experience working in construction, telecommunications/cable/MSO, or similar environments.

• 3-5 yrs. industry experience, preferred 10 yrs
• Ability to travel 20-30% annually
• Must be results-oriented and demonstrate the ability to work independently to meet business requirements and needs.
• Intellectual Agility: The ability to seek input, make connections, and recognize patterns that lead to effective decision-making and action.
• Proficient in Excel
• Results-oriented, organized, efficient, and resourceful team player that excels in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to operate effectively across matrix organizations.
• Strong initiative, comfortable with ambiguity, and willingness to move outside of one's comfort zone.

The Environment

The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-changing, start-up environment where resources are optimized around producing measurable results. A heavy reliance upon industry partners and contingent resources is a vital aspect of this role. The role will be predominately office with limited opportunities for hybrid work schedules.
