Role Overview:
The Billing Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and leadership of the RCM Staff. Directly responsible for the training and monitoring of staff as well as all aspects of RCM and Performance Management. Effectively maintain a work environment which promotes communication to stimulate the morale, engagement, and growth of team members. This position is a remote role with the ability to sit within any state where LifeStance is located.
Compensation: $52,000 - 62,000 annually, plus annual bonus potential
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day supervision and leadership of RCM staff, including but not limited to the Performance Management metrics of RCM
Complete monthly quality evaluations. Monitor staff scheduling and adherence to time and attendance protocol
Responsible for all aspects of RCM, including but not limited to maintaining workload balance, ensuring maximum efficiency, eliminating rework, and reducing cost
Promptly identify issues and develop action plans to mitigate or resolve and escalate as needed
Train, develop, motivate, and assist team members in reaching new levels of skills, knowledge, and attitude
Effectively maintain a work environment which stimulates and motivates the morale, engagement, and growth of team members. Identify performance deficiencies and opportunities and implement action plans as needed
Review and respond timely to requests, including emails, messages, telephone calls, issues, escalations, account research and resolution as needed by staff, leadership, and centers. Timely completion of accounts referred to the Supervisor
Attend or hold meetings as assigned, and ensure proper documentation of agenda and notes as needed
Skills & Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
4+ years of experience in medical billing/RCM; supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership
Advanced knowledge of UB-04, EOB interpretation, A/R, CPT, and ICD-9 codes
Excellent working knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management operations with specific focus on Outpatient Mental Health payors and Commercial payors (i.e., Medicare regulations and compliance; HIPAA)
Proficient in the use of MS Office suite; intermediate to advanced Excel and Word skills
Clear, effective, and accurate verbal and written communication skills
Organizational and prioritization skills sufficient to effectively manage multiple, concurrent initiatives
Handling of all PHI (Protected Health Information) and Patient Identifiable Data with discretion and confidentiality
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States
