Rate Analyst: Job Duties: Analyze client’s business functions in order to develop new or modified information processing systems. Create or assist others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures. Review insurance carrier rate filings and derive rating calculations that are loaded into Excel spreadsheets. Develop or assist with coordinating and implementing plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing. Use of tooling to apply JavaScript and HTML to configure data entry field properties. Conduct QA (Quality Assurance) testing and contribute to bug resolution of online system. Define the architecture of .Net MVC projects representing complex insurance products. Optimize the data model of complex insurance products (correct data types, decimal precision, etc.). Coordinate the development of C# code to support complex insurance rating implementations. Coordinate with business users to define the user experience (UX). Test generated Go code for correctness. Generate pages based on client’s requirements and algorithm. Troubleshoot unexpected output, it could be web pages, rating calculation, JavaScript, .Net code. Perform critical thinking to be able to identify issues and assign the right resources. Automate various processes via Excel VBA, PowerShell, and various tools.
Requirements: Bachelor's or equivalent in Business Administration, Information Science, Mathematics, Economics, or related field and 12 months of experience in the job offered or as a/an software developer, tester, or analyst in the insurance industry or related occupation. Additionally, all candidates must possess 12 months of experience with defining architecture and optimizing data models for insurance products; JavaScript; HTML; .NET MVC; PowerShell; UX tools; and Microsoft Excel to define the architecture and optimal data models for insurance products and insurance rating implementation. The position is based out of 412 Mt. Kemble Avenue, Ste 110C, Morristown NJ, 07960 and various unanticipated locations in the US. Work can be performed remotely from anywhere in the US.
