Serves onsite to collaboratively develop and implements radiation to treat patients in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. Specific duties include: checking patient information; preparing room and equipment; communicating with patient; transferring patient; performing radiation treatment; maintaining schedule; maintaining supplies; keeping records; and assisting with teaching.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Clinical understanding of the processes in a medical and radiation oncology department
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Exemplary communication skills.
- Clinical experience in Radiation and Medical Oncology
- Registered by the ARRT in Radiation Therapist
- Current State License (if applicable)
- Obtains and completes LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility
- Meets all requirements necessary to gain AOS client site access, unless prohibited by law. These requirements vary by client and may include, but are not limited to: Proof of valid identification (photo, driver’s license, SSN); Criminal background checks; Drug screens; Immunizations (Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus); Annual TB testing; Applicable healthcare training
- Proficient in utilizing standard business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Associate’s and/or Bachelors Degree with equivalent experience
- One year (or more) of experience preferred but will consider new graduates
Position must have full access to Varian client sites to perform the essential functions of this position. Many clients require Varian employees and representatives to meet certain Vendor Credentialing requirements before they will be allowed to have access to their sites. Unless prohibited by law, position must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access and must continue to meet those requirements during the course of employment in this position. These requirements vary by client and may include, but are not limited to: Proof of valid identification (photo, driver's license, SSN) Criminal background checks Drug screens Immunizations (COVID-19, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus) Annual TB testing Healthcare training

The base pay range for this position is
Min $98,600 - Max $177,400The pay wage range shown is based on the job posting's primary location. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
