Position Summary:

The Radiation Safety Specialist assists with and supports the Radiation Protection Program implementation for assigned North American facilities, providing guidance and support. This position ensures compliance with internal and regulatory standard requirements. This position is remote based. Ideal candidate will reside in in greater El Paso, TX or Western US. Must have ability to travel up to 50% domestic and international.

What You Will Do:

• Assists in the implementation of policies and procedures in the Radiation Safety Program to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and to maintain personal exposures As Low As Reasonably Achievable.
• Coordinates with Corporate Radiation Safety Officer and Facility Radiation Safety Officers to ensure that Radiation Safety Program policies and procedures are effective by providing training and guidance on related issues.
• Conducts annual Radiation Safety Program audits in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulations and prepares and submits written reports.
• Assists in effective follow-up for potential hazards or cited violations by ensuring that corrective actions are implemented in accordance with organizational or regulatory standards.
