Estimated annual base pay: $90,560 (minimum) - $113,200 (midpoint) - $135,840 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you’re a Quality Engineer, we have an exciting opportunity for you. This position reports directly to the Quality Leader and is responsible for ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards and maintaining the highest levels of quality throughout the organization’s manufacturing and design processes. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring quality systems, conducting audits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations, customer requirements, and internal Quality objectives.
What You Will Be Doing
Accountable to develop, implement, and maintain the Woodward Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with AS9100 standards.
Lead the effort to obtain and maintain AS9100 certification including preparation for and conduct of the AS9100 audits.
Plan, conduct, and document internal audits to ensure compliance with AS9100 and other applicable aerospace standards. Provides mentoring to functional owners for RCCA on findings.
Develops procedures and work instructions that are required per the Quality Management System. Manages the review and approval of QMS documents.
Prepare detailed reports on Quality performance, audit results, and Corrective Actions for management review.
Work closely with the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Procurement teams to ensure quality is built into processes and products.
Provide training and guidance on AS9100 requirements and Quality best practices to Members across the organization and serve as the organization's Subject Matter Expert (SME) on AS9100 standards, providing guidance on interpretation, implementation, and application of requirements across all departments.
What We Are Looking For
Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (or international equivalent) is required. Degree in a related technical field is preferred.
Minimum 5 years of quality, engineering, machine shop, assembly or functional testing experience required.
Minimum 5 years of Quality Management Systems experience, including experience related to document management, internal and/or external audits, nonconforming material control, and root cause and corrective action processes, is required.
Demonstrates strong computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point. Knowledge of MS Project and Visio a plus.
Communicates and operates effectively within Woodward's organizational structure. Helps to improve information systems, processes and products.
Comprehensive understanding of ISO standards (AS9100) and other applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of internal and external auditing practices, including lead auditor certifications (e.g., ISO Lead Auditor).
Expertise in managing document control systems for quality records, procedures, and work instructions.
Ability to complete company goal/tasks in a timely manner, and at times, work under aggressive schedules.
Ability to lead quality initiatives, influence others to adopt best practices, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
Lead auditor certification preferred.
Green Belt or Black Belt certified (or equivalent CI/RCCA certification) preferred.
