Quality Control Auditor (Remote)

Position Requirements

Job Overview:

To work on registration and data entry tasks/questions from off-shore vendors. To audit daily work done by off-shore Data Entry teams to ensure there is no delay with charges and that the charges are being posted correctly within the billing system.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Audit medical records and registration documentation to identify possible billing deficiencies
• Review and correct time-related conflicts
• Review and correct insurance-related payor codes
• Send requests for new surgeons to be added to the billing system
• Research, analyze, and respond to inquiries regarding compliance and inappropriate billing denials
• Work task queues within various systems
• Recommend vendor education based on individual audit results
• Assist with Quality team to update incorrect provider reports
• Work on special projects
• Support off-shore Registration and Charge Entry teams as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of auditing experience in the healthcare field
• Insurance billing knowledge
• Knowledge of medical terminology along with ICD-10, CPT, and ASA codes
• Knowledge of Excel
