Position: Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Remote
Compensation: up to $135K, DOE
Position Summary:
Quality Assurance (QA) Manager role will assure consistent quality of product by helping develop and enforce good, automated testing practices; validate and improve processes; provide documentation; insights to the latest testing practices and technology; monitors all stages of testing during SDLC to identify and resolve defects to meet quality standards; manage Quality Assurance (QA) team.
Responsibilities
- Manage and help guide Quality Assurance (QA) team.
- Train and onboard new QA members.
- Proactive seeking new testing tools and strategies for the QA team.
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Design comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Guide the team in any automation testing initiatives.
- Create and maintain documentation for testing processes and tools for business.
- Provide guidance in estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
- Contact point for bug identification and classification.
- Guide the QA team in testing in different stages; features, sanity, regression, user-acceptance.
- Work with internal teams (e.g.developers and product managers) to identify testing requirements for each product
- Help investigate root cause behavior and analysis for developers.
- Report and follow up on defects logged in all system components.
- Review reports from support and feedback into the test plan where necessary.
- Maintain a positive and excited attitude so your team feeds off of that energy.
- Work with third party vendors or customers for debugging and tracking issues.
- Expectations are not limited to the above.
Qualifications
- Experience in C# or other Object-Oriented programming language.
- Hands on SQL experience.
- Experience in testing iOS and Android platforms is a plus.
- Experience with source/version control systems.
- Understanding of branching strategies and merging.
- Experience with both white box and black box testing.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, accurate and thorough.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, fast learner, hardworking and good team player.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of mortgage specific terminologies is a plus.
