We’re looking for an Experienced Quality Assurance Analyst, with knowledge of mainframe computing to join our ever-evolving Product & Technology Development team to help us unleash the potential of every business.

About the team

As part of an Agile team, you’ll support the team to deliver its commitments in a predictable way according to the SAFe definition and with the expected quality. The Mainframe Quality Assurance Analyst will report to the CORE Merchant QA Manager and work closely with each discipline within the Delivery Team (Project Manager, Product Owner, Design, Development and Test) to complete test analysis, test design and automated test execution, integrating closely to deliver User Stories.

What you'll own

  • Works on small to large, complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments.

  • Participate in estimation meetings on testing requirements to establish test effort levels to identify test scenarios.

  • Ensure all planned testing is completed on-time, with the highest quality, and within budget.

  • Ensure all Quality Assurance and testing activities are conducted according to the SDLC and Agile SAFe practices.

  • Inputs and maintains test artifacts and updates data in test/project management tools.

  • Effectively communicates testing activities and findings in oral and written forms.

  • Assist with multiple End to End testing projects and simultaneously maintain Agile and Safe project management methodologies.

  • Assist the E2E leads in collaborating with Product and IT Development teams to collect requirements and design solutions following best practices for all client/customer facing applications.

  • Proactively identify improvements and enhancements to working practices.

What you bring

Can-do attitude and a sense of responsibility for the wider implications of software engineering. A flexible approach is necessary for the role as business requirements and their relative priorities are subject to review and change.

  • Familiarity with Mainframe functionality such as CICS/On-line screens and concept of batch cycle processing.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

  • Experience with Mainframe programming language a definite plus. (COBOL or Easytrieve)

  • Proven ability to use SQL to query and manipulate data for analysis and testing.

  • Understanding of DevOps, Continuous Delivery, and Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD)

  • Working knowledge of API technologies, including the use of Swagger & Postman.

  • Understanding of UI/UX concepts and the ability to apply them to UI design.

Added bonus if you have

  • Sound understanding and experience of Agile working practices. 

  • Automated testing skills a plus.

  • Business knowledge of Payment systems.

  • Knowledge of the Generative AI Platforms.

  • Experience with application lifecycle management systems (Jira a plus).

  • Experience with test management systems (Zephyr a plus).

Worldpay is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $94,560.00 - $158,870.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
