  Expected Salary Range: $72,633.00 - $90,792.00 - $113,490.00

The Team 

Joining the Business Technology team at BCLC means you’ll collaborate with cutting-edge technology experts to shape a world-class entertainment company. Our team comprises highly skilled individuals specializing in digital enablement, product delivery services, technology platform enablement, enterprise services, technology operations enablement, cyber security, and data analytics. Together, we execute critical tasks such as enabling purchase and validation of lottery tickets at over 3500 retailers, managing a vast network of over 12,000 slot machines and electronic table games across the province, and providing the backbone for BCLC’s iGaming platform. 

 

The Delivery Services team at BCLC is a dynamic solutions-based team that encompasses systems analysis, quality assurance and business analysis with a speed of IT delivery. This team is dedicated to designing and implementing software, hardware and network systems, working closely with business stakeholders, streamlining processes, ensuring quality, driving business value and accelerating delivery. We use a collaborative approach focusing on delivering high quality technical solutions quickly and efficiently to deliver excellence to our player experience. 

 

The Role 

The QA Analyst II is pivotal in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products. This role demands collaboration with cross-functional teams, creation of comprehensive test artifacts, and execution of tests with precision. The QA Analyst II is also a visionary, advising on enhancing testing practices, expanding automation, and conducting impact/risk analysis. In essence, the QA Analyst II is a key player in assuring the delivery of high-quality software products, driving innovation in testing practices, and leading initiatives that align with organizational objectives. Their work is a testament to the value that thorough and thoughtful quality assurance brings to the technology industry.  

 

What you will accomplish 

  • You will play a crucial role in elevating the quality of software by meticulously planning, executing, and analyzing tests. 
  • You will identify and implement opportunities for test automation, contributing to more efficient and reliable testing processes. 
  • You will lead defect lifecycle management, ensuring that defects are accurately reported, tracked, and resolved. 
  • You will develop and defend test strategies and plans based on a risk-based approach, optimizing test coverage and resource utilization. 
  • You will create and communicate test plans and schedules. 
  • You will recommend and implement process improvements, contributing to the evolution of the QA practice. 
  • You will provide informal leadership, mentoring junior team members, and helping to shape the future of the QA Capability. 

 

Qualifications & skills 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline 
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant technical experience. 
  • A combination of education, experience, and demonstrated skills may be considered

  • You have exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in every aspect of quality assurance.

  • You are an excellent problem-solver, capable of diagnosing issues and determining their root causes efficiently. 
  • You understand and manage risks, making informed decisions about test coverage and prioritization based on potential impact. 
  • You have a commitment to continuous learning and improvement, both in terms of personal skills and team processes. 
  • You have strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse team members. 

 

 

It would be awesome if you also had

  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Experience testing front-end web and mobile browser products
  • Experience testing REST APIs
