QEC4E Test Automation Engineer / Architect

Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) in Tosca Automation and related testing methodologies.
- Lead the development and enhancement of the automation test framework, initiatives, and roadmap across QE C4E engagements.
- Define and establish policies and practices to drive excellence in automation strategies, encompassing unit, integration, system, user acceptance testing (UAT), exploratory, and non-functional testing.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and developers to analyze testing requirements, scope automation scenarios, and ensure alignment with stakeholder needs.
- Drive automation best practices and opportunities, including the development and maintenance of regression test suites for a variety of platforms (e.g., legacy systems, web, and mobile applications for iOS and Android).
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Coordinate with IT delivery teams, business partners, and service providers to execute test automation strategies aligned with NiSource delivery frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative).
- Partner with DevOps teams to integrate test automation within CI/CD pipelines and support pipeline optimization.
- Act as the primary liaison for QEC4E Application Support Teams, addressing incidents and providing configuration and operational support.
Leadership and Mentorship:
- Provide leadership for cross-functional automation programs, acting as the central point of expertise within the organization.
- Develop operational documentation and playbooks to strengthen team and organizational knowledge.
- Mentor and train QE C4E peers, application support personnel, and the broader NiSource Tricentis user community, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Metrics and Innovation:
- Develop and standardize automation metrics and reports to assess and communicate the effectiveness of automation efforts.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and practices, such as CI/CD pipelines, test data management, cybersecurity, and cloud computing, to enhance automation strategies and maintain alignment with industry trends.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience with Power BI configuration
- 3+ years of experience expert in Tricentis Tosca for managing and use in Test Automation
- 3+ years of experience delivering test automation as a shared service and aligning with enterprise strategies or department roadmaps
- 3+ years of experience in managing test data with Test Data Services (TDS)
- 3+ years of experience in Architecture Infrastructure Set Up for Test Automation
- 4+ years of experience expert in Test Management Standards and tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Mobile Application testing
- Experience in Tricentis qTest
- Experience in API testing
- Competent in Other Test Automation Tools
- Understand industry test automation trends and continuously seek to improve the maturity of Test Automation Disciplines
- Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines
- Proven competency in Project Management

Salary Range*:
$110,200.00 - $165,300.00*The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity.
