QA Test Analyst
100% Remote
T-Rex Solutions is looking to select an QA Tester to support our Internal Revenue Service (IRS) EDOS program. The Tester will support the IRS IT Applications Development (AD) Data Delivery Services (DDS) organization’s data modernization efforts, transitioning on-prem data and business intelligence (BI) processing to a new cloud-based platform called the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP). This project will involve analyzing the current BI portfolio and creating a release plan that establishes what legacy functionality needs to be reengineered, rebuilt, and incrementally operationalized onto the new platform, and completing a Proof of Concept to determine the solution approach for migrating and refactoring their data.
Responsibilities:
- Work in an Agile team to support QA Test functions
- Provide expertise in the planning, constructing and execution of test scripts along with developing, updating and maintaining quality testing standards and procedures.
- Apply business and functional knowledge including testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology to meet the team's overall test objectives.
- Ensure all testing results are easily accessible and understandable, track defects to closure, keep the defect repository up-to-date, address functional issues and assist in data validation, and work with developers to resolve defects and retest.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field from an accredited college or university required with three (3) or more years of related experience. An additional four (4) years of related experience may substitute for degree
- US citizenship or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3+ years, and be Federal Tax compliant required
- Ability to pass and maintain an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI)
- Knowledge of programming and scripting languages like Java, and Python is essential for writing automated tests and understanding the codebase
- Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, SOAPUI, and Jenkins
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with client stakeholders at all organizational and technical levels
- Experience with Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint)
- Experience with software development lifecycle
- Database knowledge
- Experience with continuous integration/ continuous delivery (CI/CD)
Desired Skills:
- Active IRS MBI desired
- Prior experience working on Agile teams

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $83,000 - $102,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
