Job Description
The future talent Program at Exact Sciences offers internships lasting 12 weeks, including one or more projects within the health economics and outcomes research department. These internships present excellent opportunities for your personal and professional growth, allowing you to assess whether our company and specific professional roles align with your long-term aspirations. As an intern on the Publication’s team, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of how Publications are developed in industry and how they contribute to the evidence-based healthcare landscape. The student intern will have the opportunity to assist the Publications team in the Medical Affairs screening business unit by developing and tracking manuscripts, abstracts, and congress posters/presentations that communicate the value of Exact Sciences’ flagship in-market and pipeline products. The intern will also assist in the execution of literature surveillance, systematic literature reviews, and maintenance of internal publication databases and dashboards.

Minimum education required:

PhD student in biomedical or quantitatively oriented disciplines such as health-outcomes and economics or epidemiological research.

Experience and skills required:
Include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop abstracts, manuscripts, posters and presentations and submit publications to scientific congresses or peer-reviewed journals
  • Execute literature surveillance and assist in the execution of systematic literature reviews
  • Respond to ad-hoc internal literature surveillance requests
  • Work with internal stakeholders to accurately track publication plans using our internal publication management software and dashboards.
  • Willing and able to learn new technologies on the job.
  • Apply strong communication skills, including verbal, writing, and presentation.
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to communicate complex analytical results to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of analytical study design methods and statistical analyses for clinical and real-word evidence studies
  • Working knowledge of publication and data dissemination best-practices (ICMJE/GPP)
  • Working experience with drafting technical and scientific manuscripts for peer reviewed publication
  • Strong record of authorship on research publications in peer-reviewed journals

Salary Range:

$34,000.00 - $54,000.00

 

The annual base salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis, and may differ based on the hiring location.
