Primary purpose: Provides consulting, analytics, training, and development services to Lantana’s client, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Supports the development and implementation of validation and evaluation activities for value-based purchasing and quality-reporting programs. Leverages analytical skills and public-health knowledge to provide actionable insights for Lantana’s clients.


A successful candidate will:

  • Conduct analyses in SAS; interpret, summarize, and present findings to relevant stakeholders. Import and manipulate healthcare-quality measure data and conduct descriptive and statistical analyses. 
  • Collaborate to plan, develop, and implement validation activities and healthcare-quality measurement programs.
  • Collate, analyze, summarize, and visualize healthcare-quality measure data, perform quality checks on analytic deliverables, and evaluate reliability and accuracy of results. 
  • Exhibit attention to detail when developing materials, reviewing documentation, troubleshooting issues, and reporting results. 
  • Communicate analytic advice effectively with clients, management, and staff.
  • Analyze and understand client needs and translate them into formal requirements.
  • Provide results to the project team and clients both verbally and in writing.
  • Provide measure-development expertise for testing and implementation plans, reports, and write-ups.
  • Maintain expertise in the public-health field; stay abreast of industry changes and trends
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, mathematics, or related discipline
  • A minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience
  • Experience using SAS and R to import data, manipulate data/datasets, and conduct analyses to evaluate data quality and accuracy 
  • Experience managing large datasets, moving and merging files from different platforms, cleaning and aggregating data, and performing quality control
  • Ability to communicate results verbally and in writing to audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in relevant field
  • Experience working with Python and/or Databricks
  • Experience with data modernization. 
  • Knowledge of and/or experience working with CMS or other public health entity
  • Experience with government contracting
