The Provider Relations Service Specialist, or PRSS, is responsible for supporting mental health providers who participate in BHS’ provider network. This position involves direct daily interaction with providers, practice staff and vendors via telephone and/or email. The specialist will provide guidance and support around BHS policies, processes, and other service-related information to ensure providers are supported through the full provider life cycle. The PRSS will have excellent customer service, communication skills, and be highly organized with attention to detail. The PRSS will act as a liaison, provide service information, answer questions, and resolve any assigned complaints with accuracy and efficiency. 

This is a REMOTE position


Key duties include:

  • Manage key provider relationships with accountability for provider support over the full lifecycle of the provider relationship, and  
  • Interface with providers, practice staff (directors, admins, providers, etc.), and outside vendors to ensure network optimization.   
  • Manage and resolve provider-related complaints by providing appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits necessary.  
  • Identify trends in the business that allow for increased quality or improved efficiency and collaborate with team members to implement solutions.  
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to research provider centric quality issues and work to resolve highly complex and/or escalated issues, following up to ensure resolution of provider QA’s.  
  • Assist in the development and ongoing support of the provider survey process and follow-up protocol. 
  • Support the provider relations department in innovating policies, procedures, and processes to work efficiently and effectively.  
  • Document and provide provider performance feedback in a timely manner. 
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills including active listening via telephone and video calls.  
  • Proven technology fluency with healthcare technology, provider databases and office management technology.  
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to reach role specific objectives.  
  • Ability to support and collaborate with Provider Relations team members to ensure departmental objectives.   
  • All other duties as assigned.  


Requirements
  • Bachelor or Graduate Degree in business, business administration, or behavioral sciences or equivalent combination of relevant professional experience.  
  • Prior customer service experience and/or provider relations representative experience. 
  • Attention detail and ability follow up… ability to deal with complaints in a constructive manner to address root cause and improve process.   
  • Fluency with technology and proficiency with Microsoft Office and other office software programs. 
  • Ability to collaborate with teams and members to achieve goals. 
  • A critical thinker with demonstrated work ethic.
