Datavant’s Provider product offerings are transforming. Our decades of experience in Release of Information services continues to drive value for providers and has been recently enhanced through digital connectors and technology tools that automate workflows, ensure compliance, improve provider experience and save time and costs. Datavant’s corporate brand launched a new identity as the company bringing data logistics to healthcare, further positioning Datavant as the solution for securely managing the flow of patient data. 

With this transformation, there is an opportunity to proactively strengthen our positioning in the industry and the messages associated with each of our product offerings. Datavant has a powerful story to tell to both our existing call points in Health Information Management and Revenue Cycle Departments, as well as an opportunity to build awareness of how our solutions bring value to personas in IT and Compliance roles.

Product Marketing is key to telling the story of our provider offerings, clearly articulating the value of Datavant’s offerings to buyers and users. This role partners closely with stakeholders across Commercial, Marketing and Product roles. 

Responsibilities 

Shape the product adoption strategy 

  • Partner on packaging/pricing strategies 
  • Provide market feedback to drive Product roadmap prioritization
  • Understand and monitor pipeline dynamics 

Shape the story: messaging, positioning, naming

  • Develop a deep understanding of:
    • How our products work and provide value
    • Customer segments, personas, journeys, pain points and feedback
    • Industry trends
    • Competitor positioning
  • Define positioning and messaging
  • Develop and maintain product collateral (e.g. pitch decks, 1 pagers, case studies)
  • Tell the story externally 
    • Quarterback prioritized product launches across internal stakeholders
    • Spearhead thought leadership efforts (e.g. panels, blog posts)
    • Collaborate with the External Affairs team on press releases 
    • Drive how messages and content are pulled through to the website and other external-facing narratives
    • Provide messaging that can serve as the foundation to reach target audiences through lead generation strategies and campaigns

Enable others to tell the story: sales enablement

  • Create sales training material to memorialize knowledge of customer personas and pain points, product value propositions, objection handling  
  • Host sales trainings associated with product launches 

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Deep curiosity and active listening skills to understand provider needs 
  • Strong storytelling skills: able to creatively draft compelling messages/content and able to “see the forest through the trees” 
  • Ability to quickly learn new markets, offerings and use cases 
  • Comfortable and confident with navigating ambiguity to launch new products to new markets
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across functions to build deep cross-functional relationships
  • Ability to independently prioritize across competing workstreams 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bonus points if prior experience working with: 
    • Marketing, Product and/or Solutions teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new products or use cases
    • Experience working with or at providers, especially Health Information Management, Revenue Cycle, IT or Compliance departments

The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job. The estimated salary range for this role is $120,000 - $165,000.
