This role requires a strategic, highly collaborative Proposal Manager that can lead initiatives across our three verticals: Ecosystems, Life Sciences, Public Sector. We are looking for someone that is a highly motivated self-starter and can think outside the box.

Responsibilities:

The most critical aspects of this role include:

  • Strategize with all internal teams, such as Sales, Marketing, Product Marketing,, Tech Support, Legal, to build and execute coordinated and thoughtful written responses
  • Manage proposal response from receipt of qualified leads, RFIs, RFQs or RFPs through to final product and submission
  • Manage market intelligence on new RFPs that may lead to strategic capture where Datavant services or software would add value and fit the scope of the project.
  • Understand and navigate U.S. contracting regulations, public sector contracting vehicles, and typical capture procedures.
  • Lead writing plan to include client strategy, themes, and discriminators are reflected in the writing plan
  • Work with both internal and External Partners to develop win themes and embed the Datavant value propositions throughout thought leadership, Whitepapers, and RFI Responses in a cohesive and fluid manner.
  • The ability to derive from customer mission statements, RFP’s, and other resources Government priorities as well as adopt the common operating language used by customers in order to message how Datavants offerings align to agency goals.
  • Lead team reviews of proposal strategies, storyboards, win themes and content according to proposal process.
  • Coordinate and review proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal and delivery
  • Provide oversight of final proposal production, including desktop publishing, proofreading, editing, printing (if required) .
  • Manages post proposal requests (CRs/DRs, BAFO, Q&A, and Orals)
  • Monitor status of proposal development-related documents for completeness, compliance with RFP requirements and inclusion of win themes and discriminators.
  • Evaluate & implement a system for overall division including governance process and SLAs
  • Takes a direct leadership role in the development of pre-sell materials, proposals, presentations

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree 
  • 5+ years of proposal writing for competitive bids (government and commercial)
  • 3+ years of experience in Enterprise software/SaaS
  • Solid expertise in Google Suite, as well as efficiency tools such as Monday.com, Salesforce.com, Govwin, etc.Ability to quickly analyze and understand Federal RFPs and be able to prepare documentation for kickoff shortly after RFP release
  • Knowledge of Federal Procurement process, acquisition guidelines (FAR/DFARS) a plus
  • Project management skills, ability to deliver quality results under pressure and to deadlines, must be results oriented with a drive for excellence
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), time management and ability to prioritize effectively/efficiently

The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job.

The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is:$103,000—$121,000 USD
