The Opportunity at Komodo Health:

The Proposal Services team is responsible for managing and overseeing the entire RFP development process. This department ensures RFPs are concise, persuasive, compliant, and competitive, ultimately aiming to secure business opportunities. 

The Proposal Content Writer is a key contributor to the Proposal Services team. This individual will be responsible for creating content across multiple products and audiences. The writer will work independently to leverage multiple internal references (learning modules, product marketing collateral, FAQs, etc.) to understand and write content. They will collaborate effectively and maintain successful relationships with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). 

The Proposal Content Writer will report to the Head of Proposals.

Writing assessment will be required for qualified candidates.

 

Looking back on your first 12 months at Komodo Health, you will have accomplished…

• Leveraging multiple internal references (learning modules, product marketing collateral, FAQs, etc.) to understand and write content
• Writing proposal-ready solution overviews for RFPs
• Writing new content proactively for RFPs
• Translating highly technical content for multiple audiences into RFP-ready content 
• Supporting the Proposal Services team in a fast-paced environment with content needs
• Proofreading/editing content using RFP best practices and company style guide
• Implementing best writing practices that include customer-centric language, value propositions/drivers, and persuasive sales writing
• Developing, organizing, and maintaining high-quality content for RFPs 
• Interviewing/collaborating with SMEs, Marketing, and internal stakeholders to gather content information and graphics, and ensuring all content is accurate and updated  
• Participating in proposal meetings to prioritize and establish proposal content needs

These are the essential job duties you will be responsible for …

• Writing new RFP-ready content to include detailed solution overviews
• Updating existing RFP content to include graphics, action captions, callout boxes
• Synthesizing information from multiple sources to develop cohesive, differentiated content
• Proofreading/editing 
• Formatting content in a logical and easy-to-follow manner, using headings, subheadings, and other structuring techniques
• Uploading content to Responsive (content database) 

What you bring to Komodo Health (required):

Qualifications:

• 5–7+ years of content writing experience
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing
• RFP content/proposal writing experience and best practices  
• Proven writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional team
• Familiarity with proposal management software (Adobe Pro, Google Suite, Responsive/RFPio)
• Familiarity with SaaS solutions and/or healthcare
• Passion for language/writing

Compensation at Komodo Health

The pay range for each job posting reflects a minimum and maximum range of pay that we reasonably expect to pay across all U.S. locations and may span more than one career level. We carefully consider multiple business-related factors when determining compensation, including job-related skills, work experience, geographic work location, relevant training and certifications, business needs and market demands.

The U.S. national starting annual base pay for this role is listed below. This position may be eligible for performance-based bonuses as determined in the Company’s sole discretion and in accordance with a written agreement or plan.$86,000—$133,000 USD

Where You’ll Work

Komodo Health has a hybrid work model; we recognize the power of choice and importance of flexibility for the well-being of both our company and our individual Dragons. Roles may be completely remote based anywhere in the country listed, remote but based in a specific region, or local (commuting distance) to one of our hubs in San Francisco, New York City, or Chicago with remote work options.
