Property Accountability Specialist

CACI is seeking a cleared Warehouse and Property Accountability Specialist to support an Army Project Manager at Ft Belvoir, VA.. Performs a variety of warehousing and property accountability duties, assisting primary or alternate property custodians, and working closely with military, Government civilian, and other contractor personnel. Responsible for control of government and contractor acquired property, to include the collection and tracking of operational data to maintain inventory records and oversee the transfer or disposition of such in accordance with the Defense Program Accountability System (DPAS) and government regulations.
About the Role:
- Work involves most of the following: verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
- Work directly with a Government Property Officer to identify and resolve logistical process issues, determine operational status, and seek opportunities for operational improvements across the entire organization.
- Develop, and implement plans to conduct Material Internal Control Programs inspections to ensure compliance with the Defense Program Accountability System (DPAS) and Army Program Executive Office requirements.
- Advise/brief/train Army Project and Product Managers and their Staffs on their roles and requirements to maintain property accountability as custodians and sub-custodians.
- Help develop and execute property accountability to include issue, tracking, and management of Government‐Furnished Equipment (GFE).
- Ensure 100% accountability of government property; implement procedures to align with Army Regulation (AR) 710-4, Property Accountability.
- Perform such functions as decrementing, adjusting, or adding equipment in the Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) and can perform receiving functions (except initial acceptance from a vendor on behalf of the government).
- Maintain or assist with records management for equipment on property listing (i.e., Property Book Transactions, shipment documentation, temporary hand receipts, etc.).
- Coordinate and track equipment, property, and supply shipments, as needed.
- May train and direct/supervise/coordinate/guide the actions of other contractor logisticians and warehouse staff.
- Compile, prepare, and submit written warehouse/logistics input to the CACI PM for Monthly Status Reports to the Government.
- May operate hand, power trucks and forklifts in performing warehousing duties.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Secret Clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent and greater than 10 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of the Defense Program Accountability System (DPAS) automated processes
- Prior experience as an Army Supply or Property Book Specialist
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience
Work Location: Ft Belvoir, VA (will work on Government site up to-5 days per week; cannot be 100% remote)

The proposed salary range for this position is:
