The Department of Employment, Small Business and Training is trialling a 12-month Rural and Remote Pilot  in specific local government areas (LGAs) throughout Queensland to provide face-to-face training options to residents living in these communities. The Pilot will support employers to grow or upskill their workforce through locally-delivered training and assessment in priority qualifications. CQUniversity has been selected as one of the training providers for the Pilot, which will commence delivery later this year.

 

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Project Officer to coordinate the CQUniversity Rural and Remote Pilot (RRP) project. Reporting to the Manager Corporate Training Solutions (CTS), you will collaborate with the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences, School of Access Education, Student Success Division and the CTS team to ensure the effective delivery of selected VET courses across the Central Queensland region.

 

This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can manage logistics for the four Pilot locations, support stakeholders, and deliver exceptional service. Join us and make a difference in rural and remote education across Central Queensland!

Position Requirements

 

  • Detailed knowledge of business support software including Microsoft Office, and experience in the use of large corporate information systems. 
  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), and proven ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to complete a wide range of project administration and support tasks, utilising strong organisational skills to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in researching and preparing detailed documents, submissions, reports, proposals, and promotional material accurately and efficiently.
  • It may be a requirement of this position to undertake travel for work purposes from time-to-time.
