Job Description

SUMMARY: The Curriculum Project Manager manages multiple small to medium-sized curriculum projects or phase(s) of larger curriculum projects. The Project Manager is responsible for analyzing project goals to create the tasks that inform the project plan and for tracking progress against milestones. He/she also recommends mitigation steps to management should project milestone status become critical.

  • Records detailed stakeholder requirements, constraints, and assumptions to establish project deliverables.
  • Assists in the development and refinement of project plans specifying project tasks and milestones.
  • Ensures creation and execution of comprehensive change/communication management plans for each project.
  • Develops and maintains complete weekly status reports using required template/format.
  • Communicates proactively and effectively with PMO leadership, business project owner and project team.
  • Executes project tasks on time and within budget parameters, while delivering the approved project scope.
  • Implements approved actions and workarounds to mitigate project risk events to minimize the impact of the risks on the project.
  • Analyzes project tasks to leverage operational efficiencies.
  • Recommends project process improvements to management and actively participates in process improvement workstreams.
  • Provides systems support to business and PMO leadership.
  • Contributes effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Effectively maintains project forecast in Unanet, including resource allocations and professional services contracts.
  • Completes special assignments as requested by Director/Program Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:   

  • MS 365 proficiency
  • Virtual meeting experience (Zoom).
  • Analytical skills.
  • Strong, proven writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work and coordinate with numerous people inside and outside the company.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a quick-paced environment.
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to travel 15% of the time.
  • Ability to clear the required background check.
  • Bachelor’s degree; one (1) year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: None required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Experience or interest in education.
  • Operational or project management experience.
