Salary/Position Classification

  • $55,000 + commensurate with experience annual, Exempt
  • 40 hours per week
  • This position is eligible to be remote. Candidate must reside in North Dakota with regular visits to the Grand Forks, ND campus.

Purpose of Position

This position will serve as project manager for grant programs associated with the University of North Dakota’s Behavioral Health Initiative and will be housed within the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD). Currently, this position will be part of the Substance Use Prevention in the WIC Program, a cooperative agreement/grant funded by the USDA FNS. The project manager will be responsible for coordination and management of the day-to-day operations of the program along with organization and coordination of training events and related materials as well as tracking and reporting of program milestones.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Project coordination Assist in establishing effective communication channels with team members, stakeholders, and funders.
  • Coordinate the development and preparation of educational curriculum and related materials
  • Serve as the point of contact for the project
  • Collaborate with team members on all outreach and communication efforts
  • Arrange & participate in team meetings, including logistical arrangements, drafting agendas, and recording minutes.
  • Organize trainings that are in-person, virtual, and/or hybrid
  • Collaborate with project leads in the development, implementation, and management of project objectives and short and long-range plans to ensure deliverables.
  • Oversee project initiatives and the day-to-day project management working with program leads and funders.
  • Stay current with project activities and share, as appropriate, with lead project leads and others.
  • Write and submit required project reports to project leads and funders.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in health related field, communications, psychology, education or similar.
  • Experience working with computers and technology supporting distance learning/meetings using video- conferencing such as Zoom, WebEx or similar. Strong computer aptitude. Ability to troubleshoot IT issues.
  • Experience writing programmatic reports. Applicant may be asked to submit two samples that demonstrate report-writing skills as part of interview process.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, in particular MS Word, PowerPoint, & Excel.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

  • Master’s degree in a health-related field, communications, psychology, education or similar.
