THE JOB: Project Manager, Practice Transformation (14 Month Contract)

The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.

Starting Salary Range: $80,067 - $100,084

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Practice Transformation, the Project Manager, Practice Transformation is responsible for the creation and development of a clear project plan (and associated change management and communication plans), as well as managing and monitoring timelines, schedules, resources and project reports for defined bodies of work focusing on practice support tools and resources. By accurately defining project scope and determining available resources, the Project Manager develops and executes on clear, straightforward plans enabling project teams to reach their full potential.

The Project Manager coordinates with cross discipline teams to ensure all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines and schedules, and conducts post project evaluation to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements in order to effectively support business outcomes. The Project Manager also supports the development and delivery of associated training and orientation materials in alignment with the project and may support ongoing operational activities.

The Project Manager works with the PT Management team and partners to define scope and leads applicable projects, undertaking all aspects of the planning process. Additionally, the Project Manager maintains and manages detailed plans throughout the project life cycle, takes account of dependencies, and captures and translates business requirements effectively, acting as a conduit to various stakeholders. The Project Manager will play a vital role in linking together needs and resources within a multi partnered environment.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and/or recognized professional designation in related field, and up to six years of progressive and related experience or an equivalent level of related work experience in lieu of post-secondary education.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent years of work experience.
  • Solid understanding of the BC healthcare system
  • Experience working on projects related to use of health technology in practice (e.g. electronic medical record, virtual care platforms, and health informatics) an asset
  • Demonstrated relationship-building skills; solid judgment; critical thinking skills; a sense of teamwork and community; ability to handle multiple tasks; highly organized.
  • Project and budget management experience, including experience with planning, evaluation, performance measurement, and change management strategies.
  • Excellent attention to detail with demonstrated project management, change management, and document management skills.
  • Advanced computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proficiency with project management software.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently as well as in a team environment along with excellent writing skills and proven ability to develop clear, concise and comprehensive written reports.
  • Experience working with multi stakeholder initiatives and demonstrated experience working in dynamic, and iterative environments.
