Your new role: We are looking for a skilled, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Project Manager to join DCA’s Change and Transformation Department that can lead and support technical, service design and improvement projects across the organisation. You will have previous experience in programme, project or change management, within a transformational environment.
You will have a proven track record of involvement in the design and delivery of measurable improvements to service quality and operational efficiency in a complex, patient centred, service environment.
The purpose of the project manager role is to lead, facilitate and ensure the successful delivery of one or more change projects across DCA. These projects will generally be large business impacting changes either as part of a programme or as a stand-alone initiative. Working in an exciting, complex, and changing environment, we require a problem solver that is willing to take on responsibility, drive change, and able to establish processes in line with the strategy of the company.
Salary Bracket: £40,000 - £50,000

Key accountabilities:
Working within the Change and Transformation Team you will be able to demonstrate commercial experience in a Project Management, Transformation, or related role where you will have to demonstrate strong critical thinking, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Project Management:
- Full project responsibility throughout the entire lifecycle
- Governance, Resource and scope management, leading change through the established change processes
- Management of project risk
- Delivery of projects to the agreed scope, schedule, and budget
- Stakeholder management and engagement
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand and define business problems and positively influence outcomes, whilst ensuring alignment with relevant enterprise-wide strategies
- Reporting of project status across baselines
- Definition and reporting of expected projects outcomes, benefits and KPI/OKR measures
- Business Impact assessments
- Transformation and Change
- Working with the Head of Transformation and Change, develop a clear and agreed understanding of the transformation challenges and change requirements
- Supporting a change management process internally
- Working with business on the transition to the new business as usual position
- Mentoring and supporting SME within the business, collaborating with them to identify how services could be transformed to provide improved patient outcomes and experience, to be more efficient/productive, and to reduce costs
- Contribute and share of knowledge and best practice, as well as development of methodologies and toolkits that enable more consistent delivery of transformational change and continuous improvement across DCA
Experience
Must-Have:
- Project /Programme Management experience – ideally gained in a matrix organisation
- Proven experience in delivery of Business and IT projects with multiple stakeholders
- Negotiating and influencing skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships and work collaboratively across various levels in an organisation
- Experience in Business Case creation, benefits mapping, and ROI tracking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to transform complexity into simplicity for different audiences
- Strong risk management skills and knowledge
- Strong, practical stakeholder management experience
- Ability to embrace new challenges and deal with a level of ambiguity
- Ability to prioritise and work on several projects at the same time
- Curious, Creative, proactive and eager to learn
- Resourceful with initiative and a positive 'can-do’ attitude
- Ability to work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
