Project Manager, Event Marketing (Part Time, Contract Position)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager, Event Marketing to lead the marketing efforts for BPCON2024. 

This role will be responsible for implementing the strategy behind marketing BPCON2024 (launching October 2024) and helping ignite some creative thinking around event marketing tactics to execute. Your key focus will be to sell out the event prior to September 1, 2024. Please bring your project manager mindset, your passion for marketing practices, and your zest for creativity to the table!

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement the existing marketing plan for BPCON2024 to drive registration and sell out the event
  2. Collaborate with contracted designers and internal stakeholders to create messaging materials and assets aligned with our overall brand
  3. Write emails, create social posts, update website content, and think through creative promotional assets on a daily basis to engage and ignite our audience to attend BPCON2024
  4. Work with existing BP Marketing staff to get onboarded to our best practices, marketing software, and tools to execute the strategy in a timely manner
  5. Assist in building and tracking affiliate conference sales through our talent and superfans
  6. Monitor your own timelines and deliverables on a daily basis, ensuring all tickets are sold by September 1, 2024
  7. Provide regular updates to key internal stakeholders of progress against the strategy and any new, creative items to execute

About You:

  • Experience in marketing, project management, or event marketing in previous roles
  • Proven track record of successful project management roles or managing and executing marketing campaigns (bonus if you have event marketing experience specifically!) on a deadline
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing initiatives and crowdsourcing excitement around an experience or community
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools, such as CRM systems, project management systems, or email marketing platforms
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative marketing ideas and solutions

Compensation:

  • $30 - $50 / hour (depending on experience)

Estimated Weekly Hours:

  • 10 hours per week
