THE JOB: Project Coordinator, Equity Diversity & Inclusion

The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.

Starting Salary Range: $55,490 - 69,363

Reporting to the Manager, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), the Project Coordinator supports the EDI team by enabling the operational activities for assigned initiatives and supporting the development, implementation, and management of associated EDI work plans, including employee and member-facing activities throughout the organization. These include the work plans of leadership bodies such as the Doctors of BC Inclusion, Diversity and Equity Advisory (IDEA) Committee, the Joint Collaborative Committees, and the EDI Employee Advisory Group. 

The Project Coordinator, EDI, is responsible for taking a proactive approach to ensuring progress has occurred for the approved work plans and that project milestones are met and effectively communicated across the team, department, and with internal and external key parties involved. Additionally, this role will be the key individual responsible for supporting and actioning initiatives and activities related to the EDI Employee Advisory Group. 

Key areas of responsibility include: 

  • Supporting and actioning initiatives related to the EDI Employee Advisory Group.
  • Developing and maintaining trackers for EDI priorities across the above-mentioned workplans.
  • Collaborating with the EDI team to identify key performance indicators for each workplan, tracking those indicators and flagging the ongoing status of project milestones.
  • Working with ISAR & EDI team members on areas of collaboration that may exist between the various workplans, to bring resources, audiences or opportunities together, where appropriate.
  • Creating and/or collaborating on workplan reports for various audiences, including employees, senior leaders, committees and the Doctors of BC Board.
  • Tracking and monitoring the EDI budget in alignment with each workplan.
  • Collaborating with other teams in the organization and outside vendors where appropriate in terms of tracking workplan progress, gaps and opportunities.
