Summary of Position: We are looking for the right person to act as the part-time leader who can serve as a primary subject matter expert and content development project manager to maintain and expand our educational offerings for TSIA students. Working under the direction of a member of the Product team (and in some cases collaborating with one or more full-time members of the Publishing team or other relevant teams), the TSIA Project Content Lead will define and execute the content development roadmap for the TSIA.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Act as the company’s primary subject matter expert in the Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA).
  • Design curriculum by analyzing learner needs and test requirements (where relevant), including all instructional content, assessment content and guidance content related to institutional (or school-based test prep) or other products and services of The Princeton Review and Tutor.com.
  • Author, record, edit, and proofread materials, which may include books, videos, tests, practice questions, syllabi, and lesson plans in digital and print formats.
  • Review and test online educational products and data entry using a variety of online systems, including ones that are proprietary to The Princeton Review and Tutor.com
  • Define content creation projects to fulfill company goals, including preparing time and expense budgets for approval.
  • Deliver the highest quality materials and resources on schedule and budget to support overall company goals for the academic success of our instructional content and customer satisfaction with our instructional methods and programs.
  • Develop, and manage any necessary part-time Content Developers or Senior Content Developers.
  • Lead timely attention to the maintenance of any issues identified with existing content.
  • Maintain company records and files to make relevant program knowledge readily accessible and useful as appropriate for the company teams.
  • Coordinate with company teams to ensure effective and accurate communication of program information as needed, including contributing relevant news items or trends that may contribute to the company’s free services and marketing, such as the development of website articles and social media posts.
  • Communicate consistently and promptly on progress of project(s), including projects and other types of work happening through teams across The Princeton Review and Tutor.com.
  • Participate in meetings or trainings as necessary to complete content development projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Education, Background, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise with the TSIA or related educational content: college degree; certification as a teacher in the state of Texas is beneficial but not required.
  • Experience in project management (preferably at an education company or similar organization)
  • Experience in curriculum development and the production of digital and print learning materials, including textbooks, test, and online lesson presentations.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and organizational skills with proven track record of managing multiple projects and tasks efficiently and simultaneously.
  • Ability to partner with coworkers in a remote/distributed environment, especially technical and instructor resources from other teams within the company.
  • Strong written and oral communication skillset, and an ability to deliver compelling presentations (both online and in-person) to a variety of internal and external audiences.
  • Strong technical competencies, including high level proficiency with Office365 applications; familiarity with eLearning authoring tools and Learning Management Systems, and basic familiarity with project management and productivity tools (e.g, MS-Teams, Jira, etc.) preferred.
  • Ability to work independently.

Compensation: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
