Introduction
The Strategic Estates (SE) team in Parliament takes great pride in preserving and enhancing the iconic Parliamentary Estate. Operating within a working World Heritage Site, we are custodians of this historic and globally significant space, supporting both the House of Commons and the House of Lords. The SE Portfolio Management Office (SEPMO) plays a key role in overseeing and delivering a wide range of infrastructure, maintenance, and refurbishment projects, ensuring they meet the unique needs of Parliament while maintaining its rich heritage.
The Role
As the Project Change and Engagement Manager, you will lead on stakeholder engagement and change management activities across Strategic Estates’ projects and programmes. Acting as the vital link between project delivery teams and their stakeholders, you will ensure projects meet customer needs and are delivered successfully. Working in a matrix environment, you will provide expert guidance on change management strategies and help prepare stakeholders for the introduction of new initiatives.
Some of the responsibilities for this role include:
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders to gather insights and ensure their needs are reflected in project delivery.
- Planning and facilitating workshops, stakeholder mapping sessions, and other engagement activities to drive collaboration and feedback.
- Developing and implementing effective change management tools and strategies to support successful rollouts.
- Collaborating with SE Engagement, Communications, and Change teams to ensure processes are aligned and consistent.
- Supporting lessons learned and project closure activities, ensuring continuous improvement across the portfolio.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders, advising on change and engagement best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage conflicting demands.
- Experience in stakeholder management and engagement, analysing user needs and developing solutions that align with project objectives.
- A commitment to mentoring and developing team members, with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
