OVERVIEW

The Program Manager of Training and Professional Development is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the development and delivery of high-quality training, coaching, and technical assistance services for Children's Services staff in USCRI’s Home Study and Post Release Services (HS/PRS) program, as well as the direct supervision of program staff. The role is highly collaborative with program teams and leadership of the HS/PRS program. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Home Study and Post Release Services. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide ongoing leadership, direction, development, coaching, support and oversight to team of trainers and other program staff;
  • Oversee the quality and consistency of curriculum and delivery of new staff onboarding and annual trainings in the areas of child welfare, behavioral health, child trafficking, program policies and procedures, and other topics as required by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR);
  • Plan and coordinate instructional design and curriculum development, working with staff trainers and content experts to achieve learning objectives for live web-based trainings and e-learning modules;
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify the role of training and learning activities to achieve program goals;
  • Maintain oversight of the administration of training needs assessments and analyze various data to identify and respond to training needs;
  • Develop and manage a training calendar in collaboration with the training team;
  • Evaluate training activities regularly and guide staff trainers to improve presentation content, delivery and effectiveness; 
  • Manage the tracking of onboarding and annual training requirements and activities for HS/PRS staff;
  • Maintain working knowledge of best practices and trends in the field and plan/implement professional development activities to enhance skills of staff trainers;
