The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and self-directed Program Manager to join our Corporate Digital Web Team. This role involves collaborating with Marketing partners across Operations, Business Units, Design, Brand, Communications, and Legal/Compliance to execute high-profile programs.
This position is preferred as a hybrid role in our Chicago or Toronto office, though other locations may be considered. The candidate should be highly self-motivated and available across global time zones.
The role encompasses key responsibilities and strategies for effective program management, including:
Program Management & Execution
Own program management for an assigned group, including project execution strategy, workstream sequencing, and program-level tracking.
Oversee program status reporting with regular updates on KPIs, risks, and progress.
Lead multiple projects concurrently, ensuring goals are met across business, technology, and delivery teams.
Manage program launch readiness and post-launch rollout.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align on resource requirements (technology, design, and project management) to execute strategies.
Manage and resolve cross-workstream dependencies and constraints while fostering collaboration across teams.
Lead regular meetings to ensure alignment and transparency among stakeholder groups.
Risk & Issue Management
Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks and issues, assessing their impact on program objectives.
Develop proactive strategies to address challenges and ensure program success.
Process Development & Optimization
Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency and program outcomes.
Coach teams on project management and lifecycle practices to optimize execution.
Ensure adherence to project principles and provide coaching support for product development initiatives.
Stakeholder Management
Communicate updates across all stakeholder groups to ensure alignment and transparency.
Align program deliverables with stakeholder needs through active engagement.
Program Readiness & Rollout Management
Prepare programs for launch with readiness reviews, risk assessments, and rollout plans.
Assess timelines, activity sequencing, and resource allocation during program reviews.
Leadership & Mentorship
Coach and develop project managers to strengthen delivery capabilities.
Promote best practices in project management to drive scalable success.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and several years of experience managing intertwined technical programs. They should demonstrate strong leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills while excelling in prioritization, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement; specifically:
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required.
5-7 years of experience with a proven track record in complex technical project and program management.
Leadership and Collaboration
Demonstrated leadership and ability to foster global team collaboration.
Proven ability to partner with leadership to cultivate a collaborative, high-performing, and efficient environment.
Effective at coaching teams and providing feedback to stakeholders and executives.
Project and Program Management
Experience managing competing cross-program priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Skilled at managing decision-making processes and facilitating constructive team debates.
Skills and Competencies
Strong skills in leadership, communication, time management, problem-solving, and analysis.
Ability to identify and implement process improvements effectively.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and maintaining team focus.

Base Salary Compensation Range
$94,280.00 - 169,720.00 USD AnnualTotal Cash Compensation Range
$117,850.00 - 212,150.00 USD AnnualMorningstar’s hybrid work environment gives you the opportunity to work remotely and collaborate in-person each week. While some positions are available as fully remote, we’ve found that we’re at our best when we’re purposely together on a regular basis, typically three days each week.
