The pay for this position ranges from $128000 - $140000.

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Project Management Professional who, through their communication and influential skills, will drive the continued transformation and commercial success of FuelCell Energy.

 

Responsibilities:

The Program Manager role is a critical enabler in achieving Project and Program success. This role must be well-versed and experienced in all facets of Project Management. This individual has strong communication and organization skills and has a successful track record in planning and overseeing projects in full compliance with all safety and environmental rules while ensuring project scope is completed on time and within budget with zero quality defects. This individual understands the impact of change, brings real world hands-on experience with problem solving and driving results. This leader has progressive management experience, is energetic with proactive critical thinking skills. The Program Manager is responsible for the execution of a program consiting of multiple related projects related to fuel cell and/or electrolyzer products. The indivudal projects range from product development, product improvement, fleet support, and to deployment projects.

 

Specific duties include:

  • Perform duties on assigned Programs and/or Project(s).
  • Responsible for all aspects of the program, from requirements gathering through its completion.
  • Direct the work of project and program team members and guide team in prioritizing work based upon knowledge of product requirements, program schedule, and various dependencies while driving issues to closure or escalating obstacles to leadership team as necessary.
  • Lead multi-function teams in a matrix organization and responsible for developing strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review program definition, identifying technical risks, execution concerns, and validating that the program deliverables are fully defined, sufficiently detailed, and reflects the budgeted values.
  • Ensure that work is completed to specification, and per requirements, within budget and completed on schedule.
  • Monitor and report on program status specifically regarding schedule, budget, and technical specification adherence.
  • Develop program budgets, monitor internal research & development spend, prepare monthly forecasts.
  • Develop individual program schedules integrating all development tasks.
  • Maintain integrated master schedule for all program activities. Identify critical paths, resource needs and constraints.
  • Create various artifacts such as resource plans, project schedules, work breakdown structures, release/iteration plans, communication plans, risk management plans, issues logs, and action and decision logs.
  • Acting lead point of contact for all program related communication with all levels of Management and all personnel involved in project support, including but not limited to internal Engineering, Product Management, Procurement, Quality, Logistics, Legal, Finance, and Field Service.
  • Facilitate and document lessons learned meeting with program stakeholders and suppliers as part of project closeout process.
  • May, on occasion, support sales and marketing and / or project development by supporting site walks and introductory client / host facility meetings
  • Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by the Senior Management.
  • Limited travel (15%) domestic and international is required.

 

Qualifications

Education:  A bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, OR any other relevant equivalent bachelor’s degree will be considered.  Master’s Degree is preferred.

Experience:  Eight (8) years of related Program Management experience, with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience managing the performance of projects, programs for an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Experience preferably in fuel cell, electrolyzer, or related alternative energy projects and programs.

 

Candidate must have demonstrable knowledge/experience in:

  • Certification in Project Management or Degree in Project/Operations Management. (PMP preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Project, P6 and Excel.
  • Competent in office software, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently or occasionally required to:

  • Work in outdoor conditions that includes inclement weather, heat and humidity
  • Use a computer
  • Travel by car, plane, or other forms of public transportation
  • Be able and willing to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as designated such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hard hats, respirator, and other PPE as required.
  • Travel:  up to 15% domestic or international
  • Have or be able to obtain a Passport
