Job Description

The expected pay range for this position is $180,000 to $200,000 yearly.  The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location.

 

We are seeking a Program Manager with extensive experience leading large-scale IT projects. The ideal candidate will manage the entire program lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and closure phases of programs, adhering to timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
  • Craft and maintain detailed program documentation, including program plans, risk assessments, stakeholder analyses, and progress reports.
  • Drive the integration of program management best practices and methodologies (e.g., Agile, PMI) to ensure consistent success in program delivery.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders and program sponsors to define program scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Oversee a multidisciplinary program team, providing direction and support to achieve program milestones and deliverables.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, ensuring minimal impact on program timelines and outcomes.
  • Facilitate effective communication channels across program teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure a cohesive program execution strategy.
  • Champion innovative technologies and practices to enhance program outcomes and support FLETC’s program modernization efforts.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in program management, preferably within a government or regulatory environment.
  • Proven expertise in IT services, management, and processes, highlighting your ability to navigate and manage programs within specific regulatory frameworks.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, evidenced by past success in leading multidisciplinary teams toward achieving program objectives within tight deadlines and budgets.
  • Mastery in program management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile) and tools, ensuring efficient program execution and delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, identifying risks and obstacles early and developing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for engaging with stakeholders at all levels, facilitating teamwork, and ensuring clear and effective program communication.
  • Experience with modern technology trends and tools, including cloud services, cybersecurity measures, and software development practices, to drive modernization and forward progress.
  • Experience in successful participation in proposal oral presentations is preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certified Program Management Professional (PgMP) or Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Preferred Certification as ITIL v4 Practitioner.
  • Preferred Certification as a Scrum Master (CSM).

Clearance Requirement:

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Active Public Trust or have the ability to obtain one.
