The purpose of Program Consultant Sr position is to enhance immigrant integration within the Commonwealth of Virginia through a statewide strategy to promote their full participation in the economic, linguistic, and civic life of Virginia. This will be accomplished through identification of regions/localities that have service provider consortia, research to elicit gaps in services and networks and coordination/support for local efforts that align with the overall goal of New American integration in the Commonwealth.
The Program Consultant Sr will serve as the primary liaisons developing and maintaining strong working relationships with external stakeholders, particularly immigrant and/or refugee-serving organizations, businesses and natural leaders including women and young adults.
Minimum Qualifications
• Considerable knowledge of research, statistics, data analysis and reporting, planning, evaluation as well as measurement techniques to include forecasting and decision analysis.
• Experience in program implementation particularly in the human or social services fields
• Understanding of immigrant communities in Virginia
• Familiarity with immigration laws and policies
• A high level of linguistic and cultural competency and cross-cultural awareness and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google docs, data system creation and maintenance.
• Written/spoken proficiency in Spanish and/or ability to collaborate and communicate with limited English proficient individuals and organizations serving these populations are requirements.
Additional Considerations
• Working knowledge of Immigrant services and working experience in a multicultural service.
• Experience in coalition-building or community organizing are preferred
