Your Role:
The Professional Services Portfolio Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, development, and maintenance of service and training offerings that support the success of Tenable’s customer journey. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams - including but not limited to Product Development, Product Management, Service Delivery- to understand expected product outcomes and ensure the professional services and training portfolio aligns with business goals. Additionally, the Project Manager directs activities of Services Architects in creating, updating, and maintaining these offerings.
This position also contributes thought leadership to the services portfolio strategy, ensuring offerings drive customer adoption and business success. The ideal candidate is highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities, and thrives in an agile environment. They must stay informed of corporate strategy, product messaging, upcoming features, and version retirements across the Tenable product suite. Technical knowledge of network security and vulnerability management are expected.
Your Opportunity:
Strategy & Portfolio Management
Contribute to the development of the Services Portfolio Strategy, Goals and Objectives, ensuring alignment with business priorities and customer needs.
Develop and maintain an annual services and training portfolio roadmap, ensuring offerings are updated, maintained, and retired based on performance and demand.
Monitor and analyze portfolio performance, ensuring financial goals are met and identify underperforming offerings for optimization or retirement.
Project & Execution Oversight
Set direction for programs and projects based on corporate and business unit strategic goals.
Assign tasks and oversee workload distribution across Service Architects and other contributors, ensuring effective resource utilization in support of portfolio initiatives.
Hold Services Architects accountable for project deliverables, ensuring they meet scope, quality, and timeline expectations.
Manage project prioritization, dependencies, and resource allocation, balancing competing priorities and ensuring alignment with business goals.
Assess risks and proactively implement solutions to ensure timely and effective achievement of program goals.
Ensure offerings meet quality standards, budget constraints, and business impact expectations.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with internal stakeholders to align service offerings with product capabilities and go-to-market strategies.
Engage with leadership, customers, and services sales and delivery teams to gain insights, refine offerings, and ensure service portfolio relevance.
Communicate project progress, risks, and impact to leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment across the teams.
Continuous Improvement & Business Influence
Evaluate and refine internal processes to enhance the efficiency of service and training development.
Stay informed of product changes, corporate strategy, and emerging industry trends to proactively evolve service offerings.
Partner with the Senior Director of Portfolio to ensure services portfolio strategy supports revenue growth and customer adoption objectives.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
8+ years of professional services, consulting or related field.
3+ years of experience in service portfolio development, training programs, or customer enablement.
3+ years of experience in product or project management, overseeing complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Technical knowledge of network security and vulnerability management experience, preferably with Tenable’s product suite.
Proven ability to lead large, cross organizational projects, balancing priorities and stakeholders.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to translate complex information for both technical and non-technical audiences, and drive alignment on project objectives.
Experience directing and holding teams accountable to project execution without direct management authority.
Exposure to the full product delivery life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, testing, implementation.
Data-driven decision making skills, leveraging performance metrics to assess and improve service offerings.
Strong business and technical acumen, with experience aligning service offerings with product strategy and customer success outcomes.
Experience interfacing with customers, gathering requirements and coordinating customer activities.
Prioritization of activities, determining when additional insight, validation or direction is needed.
Assessing and managing portfolio financial performance, identifying adjustments to meet revenue and profitability goals.
Analyzing feedback and data from service programs, identifying trends and making informed decisions on improvements.
Ability to work at a computer for an extended period of time
Globally distributed organization that operates both in-office and remotely
Participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings; sometimes being the presenter
Infrequent travel may be required

This is the base pay range for this position. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, location and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. Employees are also eligible for variable compensation in addition to base pay (commission for sales roles, bonus for non-sales roles), depending on company and individual performance.
