Position SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate, dedicated remote Professional Rater II with research interest in emerging adults (Gen Z), excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong work ethic. As a fully remote role, the position is flexible (up to 10 hrs per week), allowing you to create a work-life balance that suits you! In this position, you will assist Dr. Whalen and Dr. Gilbert’s Personality Study within the Early Emotional Development Program (EEDP) in the Department of Child Psychiatry. This position includes observational coding projects aimed to assess young adults’ emotions and behaviors from videotaped interactions with peers.

In your role as a Remote Professional Rater II, you will bring your expertise to remotely code behaviors and emotions from videotaped interactions of young adults and their peers. Through this detailed observational coding work, you will play an integral role in our data collection, supporting the assessment of emotions and behaviors in emerging adults while working in close collaboration with our team of investigators and research staff.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Mains responsibilities include:
    • Observational/behavioral coding.
    • Attending weekly coding meetings with the team to ensure ongoing reliability of the coding protocol.
  • Leverages your unique insights and clinical acumen to ensure participants are engaged with the videotaped tasks.
  • Engages in thoughtful communication with principal investigators, other team members, and research staff, fostering a spirit of teamwork in service of our research mission.
  • Actively participates in continuous learning and professional development initiatives to stay at the forefront of research best practices.
  • Upholds the highest standard of participant confidentiality, ensuring stringent adherence to HIPPA regulations and institutional research guidelines.
  • Prepares/edits progress reports and attends meetings.

Salary Range

$19.21 - $28.85 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
