Professional Programmer Analyst - Remote

As a Professional Programmer Analyst with strong coding experience, you must have hands-on experience in debugging, investigating, and developing applications in a batch UNIX/LINUX C programming environment. You will be involved working on application development, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing performance within a structured software development lifecycle

WORKSITE: Remote

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 8 am to 5 pm

COMPENSATION: $40 to $42 per hour

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Develop, debug, and maintain batch applications in UNIX/LINUX C programming.
• Analyze existing programs and modify code as needed to optimize performance and ensure seamless functionality.
• Work with SQL (MS SQL Server) to develop and enhance database-driven applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement best practices in object-oriented programming and software development methodologies.
• Perform JUnit and Test-Driven Development (TDD) to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
• Utilize Microsoft Azure DevOps and GIT for version control and CI/CD deployment.
• Engage in troubleshooting and resolving system issues promptly.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all code, processes, and system configurations.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• 3-5 years of experience in application development and programming.
• Hands-on experience with batch UNIX/LINUX C programming (not just exposure).
• Proficiency in SQL (MS SQL Server).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with XML and data structuring.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with JUnit and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Understanding of JPA / Eclipse Link and JAXB / XML.
• Experience in Java 7 threading, including Executors and Executor Service.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle DB and Apache Derby.
• Proficiency in Eclipse IDE for development.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps and GIT for version control and deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Java and Python development.
• Strong background in cloud computing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in handling large-scale enterprise applications.
