The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Production Designer to join our creative team. Reporting into the Senior Brand Designer, Print, the Production Designer will be responsible for executing the technical aspects of design projects for both print and digital collateral, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in all deliverables. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of packaging design, image and color retouching, iconography and the overall print and digital production processes and experience in retail design (packaging, imagery resizing), direct mail, and digital design (icons, site audits, and image retouching).

The ideal candidate has outstanding attention to detail, loves technical work and is highly organized, all while maintaining a keen creative eye. You are proactive and autonomous in your day-to-day work. You communicate clearly and thrive in collaborative, cross-functional environments, and offer up ideas for optimizations and improvements. Your background in packaging design and post-production image editing, particularly within the consumer packaged goods industry, equips you with the experience needed to elevate our brand's visual presence. You are able to prioritize and balance multiple projects at once and love all things creative and brand.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Execute and deliver press-ready packaging and print files 
  • Create technical product line drawings and mock up files for reviewing
    and proofing 
  • Review internal and external proofs ensuring accuracy and consistency 
  • Act as the main point of contact for external print vendors owning on time file delivery and pre-production proofing
  • Utilize Premiere to edit brand videos
  • Retouch, resize and rename files for site product display pages
  • Set up product display page templates ahead of launches using tools such as Figma
  • Audit & ensure continuity of on-site assets
  • Provide design support as needed
  • Organize files and archives across various platforms

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • 4+ years in production designer or similar role
  • Expert in Adobe Suite; Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign
  • Proficient experience in Adobe Premiere Pro and Figma 
  • Strong understanding of print production processes and techniques
  • Excellent attention to detail and a sharp eye for quality control
  • Ability to self manage timelines; proactive and autonomous in
    day-to-day work
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to
    work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Experience working directly with print vendors is a plus
  • Experience in a DTC company is a plus 

The anticipated base salary range for this role ​is $70,000 - $85,000 - Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors determining the base pay at offer, including but not limited to: skills, qualifications, experience. This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
