Job Description
This position will be part of a creative services team and will focus on production and versioning of concepts executed by the design team. The team develops a variety of print and in-store units ranging from P.O.P. to digital banners for the beauty industry. All creative efforts are coordinated with the client to maintain the integrity of the approved designs and themes. The Production Artist must thrive in a professional, fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects within a corporate setting. The role bridges the gap between creative development and final file release to vendor and/or client. This is not a design position, although candidates must possess a keen eye for design as judgment calls and adherence to client brand standards. The Production Artist must be a self-solving, detail-oriented, forward-thinking individual looking for new and innovative ways to deliver ideas to our client, review efficiencies in internal processes.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm EST
Responsibilities:
Work is typically performed under minimal daily supervision, receiving guidance from manager/supervisor about the work that needs to be completed. Able to exercise a high level of discretion and latitude in completing tasks.
- Adept at driving/growing relationships with all levels of the creative leadership team in a fast-paced environment, eager to tackle every project no matter how large or small, leveraging production and design skills to translate complex retail solutions.
- Interacts and collaborates regularly with creative leadership, client partners, designers, and other team members as needed for completion of assigned projects.
- Follows project timelines throughout all stages of print production to produce technically correct, print-ready mechanicals for release, ensuring all tasks are being completed on time and on budget.
- Takes ownership, leads, and troubleshoots problems as they arise with both the creative team and the printer.
- Prepares final preflight and packaged press-ready files based on supplied specifications for several types of printing.
- Makes various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolves any artwork issues that arise during production.
- Provides image retouching, clipping paths, and additional image manipulation as needed.
- Solves business challenges through smart application of production best practices.
- Maintains and enhances the client’s identity by working within the corporate brand standards.
- Manages the execution of the work, ensuring that creative projects are completed on time.
- Effectively uses project management systems to track time on all projects.
- Understands the client’s design needs and methodology.
- Communicates effectively with peers, senior management, and clients across all topics from business to creative.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in a discipline-related field with 10+ years of experience preferred, 4+ years of experience required.
- Possesses a strong portfolio of well-produced work and experience that demonstrate clear knowledge of print production and design.
- Beauty, fashion, retail, agency, or in-house corporate creative production experience preferred.
- Must be highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Google Workspace, MS Office, and other applicable programs on the Macintosh platform.
- Must be open to learning digital asset management platforms.
- The ability to work with creatives to prepare projects for print is essential.

Additional Information
The national pay range for this role is $56,700 - $97,000 / year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
