Job Description
The Product Underwriting Senior Manager is responsible for Insurance products in a specified territory or region and will have assigned product responsibility and development of strategic and tactical planning.Key Responsibilities
• Ensures regulatory compliance through a clear understanding of and research into insurance regulations and laws.
• Maintains an understanding of the Company’s products, services, and solutions and initiates discussions with other business units as appropriate.
• Facilitates communication between multiple departments and acts as liaison between Claims, Product, Sales, Operations, etc.
• Communicates identified agency production opportunities, training or quality issues.
• Participates in agency planning process by collaborating with the senior leadership of sales and product.
• Works with the Operations Vice President to ensure that all processing and service standards are met.
• Ensures underwriting quality through implementation of effective process.
• Ensures effective execution of best practices, including Underwriting and Workflow.
• Implements underwriting strategies that ensure a quality underwriting work product is produced consistent with underwriting strategy, standards and process.
• Manages underwriting functions to achieve profit, revenue, loss ratio, and expense targets.
Education
• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred).
Experience
• 10 or more years of experience (Preferred).
Supervisory Responsibilities
• This job has supervisory duties.

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $104,000.00 - 159,750.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.At National General, great things happen when our people work together.
